I wrote a book for you, and it’s free!

Hi there!

2023 is almost over, and I hope it’s been a good year for you. For me, it was a challenging year writing wise. Nevertheless, I do have some wins that are worth celebrating!

I started a newsletter, a writing club, and served the editing association in my province as a managing editor. Also, my story, “The Mountain of Goodness,” was listed as one of the 33 remarkable African short stories of 2023!

The Money Wheel

Now, here’s the big news you’ve been waiting for: Last year, I was commissioned by Investment One to write a novella. The novella, The Money Wheel, is based on a set of financial principles that will get you thinking about where and how you spend your money.

The novella has lessons and tips on:

  • preparing emergency funds,
  • investing in mutual funds,
  • setting up a child trust,
  • rising above inflation, and
  • implementing the 50-30-20 rule in your budgeting.

The Money Wheel is set in Lagos, Nigeria. In it, you will meet residents of a building who are just like you and me. I learned so much writing it, and I hope you enjoy reading it. You can read the synopsis below and download it for free right now!

Synopsis

The residents of Mr. Kosoko’s compound are jolted by the news of his stroke. His sudden ailment leaves his affairs, including his compound, in the hands of his young adult sons—Babatunde, an aspiring filmmaker, and Bolu, a resentful loafer.

Burdened by their own financial goals and struggles, the tenants are forced to evaluate their financial stability when the young men start making unexpected decisions.

Fortunately, Mr. Kosoko regains his health, but his own financial errors and secrets compel him to make hard decisions that mar his relationship with his sons, break his connection with some tenants, and strengthen his bond with others. Will his heart survive it?

As always, I’m open to your feedback, so if you read any of these publications, please feel free to share your thoughts!

PS: My newsletter subscribers got this news first. You can sign up now to stay in the loop!

Have a happy new year!
