Rotimi woke up to see Kayinsola staring at him. “Rotimi! Thank God! Can you hear me? Are you okay?”
Leke was worried. He wasn’t broke, but his financial capacity was almost back to what it used to be.
Augusta walked into Jeffrey’s boutique wearily after a long day at the training her school had sponsored.
Rotimi’s demons were time bound. They only tormented him at night so he took to sleeping during the day; in the car before he resumed work, in the toilet during working hours and at lunchtime.
“I mean why do you guys make promises you can’t keep? I can’t imagine how embarrassed I would have been if I was in her shoes.” Kayinsola was saying to Rotimi as she sorted out her things for the next day.
Kayinsola was silent for some seconds. T.J had been her first boyfriend and it had been a turbulent relationship, he had introduced her to alcohol and cigarettes and for years she had struggled to break her addiction to them until she met Rotimi who had helped her overcome it.
