About Me

Being a writer can be overwhelming, I know this. Think of this place as your newsstand, your reading list, and a guide. Let’s navigate these waters together.

My name is Lola Opatayo. I have a B.A in Literature-in-English from Obafemi Awolowo University and an M.A in Communication and Language Arts from the University of Ibadan. I am also an editor, freelance writer and a teacher.

Apart from this space, my work has appeared in Obsidian, Hot Metal Bridge, and is forthcoming in The Best Small Fictions 2020 and Isele Magazine.

My work has been endowed by awards from the Iceland Writers Retreat, and MacDowell.
